UNESCO Campaign - Dahomey

It's finally here!  I have been looking for this FDC for ages and it was well worth the wait! 

It was issued on 09 March 1964, in Cotonou, in the Republic of Dahomey which existed from 1960 - following independence from being a French colony - until 1975 when it became the People's Republic of Benin.   Cotonou is still Benin's largest city today.

The Republic of Dahomey (now Benin) issued this stamp (SG 204) for the UNESCO Campaign in 1964, depicting the sacred barque of the Goddess Isis, at Philae.
