UNESCO Campaign - Egypt

This is a lovely mint set (SG 825-7) from Egypt, 1964, which also includes the Souvenir Sheet (SG 828). It is the 6th issue from Egypt for the UNESCO Campaign to save the monuments of Nubia.

The first stamp depicts the God Horus and the facade of Queen Nefertari's temple at Abu Simbel; the second shows a statue of Ramses II and the third a sculpture from Abu Simbel.

The Souvenir Sheet shows the Goddess Isis, from Kalabsha Temple.
